Biographie der Künstlerin

Die Bildhauerin Kasia Bulka-Matlacz bezaubert mit ihren beeindruckend perfekten Kleinskulpturen aus Bronze.

Ihr Werke kombinieren Surrealismus mit zeitgenössischen Themen. Ihre Skultpuren, die durch das klassische Verfahren der „verlorenen Form“ hergestellt werden, werden noch sehr aufwendig nachbehandelt um die perfekte Oberfläche zu gewährleisten.

Kasia Bilka-Matlacz  wurde in Warschau geboren und hat die Akademie der schönen Künste und die Fakultät für Skulpturen besucht. Sie ist weltweit bei Ausstellungen mit ihren Skulpturen vertreten, sie hat zahlreiche Preise bei Wettbewerben gewonnen und man findet ihre Werke in Sammlungen auf der ganzen Welt.

Biography of the artist

Sculptures by Kasia Bulka-Matlacz amazingly combine the elements of surrealism, which are used to show the complexity of human condition, man´s ambitions and limitations, his advantages and drawbacks. She uses extremely adequate thought abbreviations to enclose a complete tale carrying a deep philosophical and humanistic message in a limited space. The sulptress uses the lost wax casting, a technique known since ancient times.

Thismethod of making artistic moulds requires the sculptor´s huge artistry and patience. Each of the artist´s scultures is a unique and inimitable creation. The works reflect her unusual precision and respect for the recipients. The extraordinary relationship she is able to establish with the audience results in the excellent acceptance and recognition of her works of art in Poland and all over the world. 

Born in Warsaw, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, the Faculty of Sculpture in 1991. She receives invitations for exhibitions worldwide. Her works can be found in private collections in Poland and abroad, also in Galleries in Poland, France, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands and Great Britain. In 1992 she received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art.
